Handcrafted just outside Nuremburg, Germany, this limited edition wind-up Ferris Wheel tin music box brings back great childhood memories of the boardwalk. Wind it up and listen to the sweet music box tune as you watch the gondolas go round and round. Perfect for mechanically curious kids ages 8+, adults and collectors alike. It makes a clever conversation piece and is ideal for birthdays, children’s room and corporate gifts.
Tucher + Walther pride themselves on their traditional tin toy making methods, which is no different than when they were made at the peak of their production back in 1880 - techniques that are all but lost among today’s manufacturers. Each tin toy starts out as a single piece of tin plate. Artists then cut the tin into individual pieces and punch, stamp, curve and emboss them. Once the individual pieces have been completed, they are soldered together by hand, have their wind-up mechanisms fit, are sprayed with color and, finally, embellished with paint by hand.
Limited to only 300 pieces worldwide, this wind-up Ferris Wheel tin music box is numbered and comes complete with its own certificate of authenticity and box for safekeeping.
