- "Traditions" Kaleidoscope
Traditions Kaleidoscope
Handmade in the United States by Bob Rioux, one of today’s premier kaleidoscope makers, this beautiful 10-inch “Traditions” kaleidoscope has two different mirror configurations, creating two kaleidoscopes in one. Individually signed and numbered by the artist, this “Traditions” kaleidoscope is a remarkable conversation piece for any room or office, and has been known to relieve stress and promote relaxation.
The outer body of the “Traditions” kaleidoscope is made from black iridescent glass adorned with clear glass rods on the top and bottom, and a dichroic glass jewel on top. Inside, both a two-mirror and three-mirror configuration have been incorporated, giving you two very distinct yet exquisite views of the colorful spinning wheels at the end. The wheels, made with both stained and dichroic glass (a thin coating of metal over regular glass that allows viewers to see many more colors than the glass by itself would allow) make this kaleidoscope a truly unique piece.
As an award-winning member of the exclusive Brewster Kaleidoscope Society, Bob Rioux and his Sea Parrot kaleidoscopes are known for their unique use of dichroic glass and natural themes. Bob takes great pride in creating original and collectible kaleidoscopes for the first time buyer as well as the experienced collector. His eye for detail and unusual choice of glass components make each and every one of his kaleidoscopes a genuine work of art.
